Since 2010 Robert has been violinist in theatre productions, from Dutch plays to musicals like Spring Awakening, as well as a member of Folk/Pop group Zorita. At the moment Robert is also playing chamber music with a nice group of very talented international musicians.
From next week on, they will do a couple of concert series in and around Amsterdam.

When people used to come up to me and ask: “So Robert, do you also carry some of your own songs on your iPod?” I usually blushed and admitted I did, ‘just in case I’d happen to meet people who were seriously interested in my music’. Usually the next step would be for them to ask about those songs, so I could give them a listen to some of them, after having repeatedly apologized for the bad sound quality of the recordings.
Today I am proudly adding ten new tracks of my own to my playlist, for which I do not feel the need to apologize, thanks to very crisp and clear recordings but above all because I had the privilege of working with some of the best musicians I know. Even if you don’t understand the language (it’s all sung in Dutch, for translations: click here!), you might still want to buy this cd for it’s esthetic value, on both the out- and inside. Welcome the true feel of the theatre in a live-orchestra-setting, in the comfort of your own home!
